Communication Contractors installs all types of electric locks and door release systems associated with card access systems.
There are two main ways to lock a door electronically. One way is with an electric strike and the other is with a maglock.
Electric strikes typically do not  need an electronic release like a motion detector or touch sensor for someone to exit the door. Tends to be less expensive than maglocks.
Maglocks do need an electronic means of releasing the door. We recommend dual types of electronic release such as a motion detector and a touch sensor. Can come with a bond sensor to verfiy a door is closed and locked each night.
Motion detectors release the door as well as bypass any alarm system.
Touch sensors are U.L. listed devices to provide electronic release of  doors where a maglock is being used. There are three types of touch sensors:
Least expensive. Approx. 3" X 6"
Works like a standard push bar on a aluminum door
Mounts on wood, glass, or steel door
